Women's Singing Workshop Weekend

A wonderful singing retreat in the beautiful Dorset countryside.
Come and join us, sing your heart out and enjoy the beautiful springtime in this bit of
unspoiled English countryside.
The weekend workshop will be hosted by myself, Vanessa Sparrow and
your inspiring singing tutor will be Italian-Dutch Jazz singer Veronique Sodano.
About this weekend
Whether you can sing, have a lot of experience, are singing in a choir, have lessons every week or you've always wanted to sing but never got round to it or didn't have the courage to make a singing sound or perhaps you just in sing in the shower: as long as you can sing along (and you're a woman 😊) you can sign up! All levels are welcome. We are aiming for a nice mix of experienced singers and beginners. It works really well and will get everybody singing with pleasure because of Veronique's amazing talent to do this sort of thing.
Friday evening 6pm - we start by welcoming everybody, have our first singing session and share a meal.
Saturday - after breakfast lots of singing and relaxing.
Sunday - we'll be singing up on Eggardon Hill (weather permitting) have lunch and a final singing session in Powerstock Church.

So do come and join us, there's room for 15 women to participate.

The options
Residential £395 - £475
There are 2 single bedrooms and 2 large shared bedrooms at North Eggardon Carthouse. There are also 2 shepherds huts and a beautiful yurt available located behind the Carthouse.
Non-residential £350
Perhaps you live locally and prefer to sleep in your own bed, then you pay a bit less.
We do ask you to join us for all the singing sessions, as you can probably understand.

Vanessa Sparrow
grew up in Den Haag, the Netherlands. She studied music at the University of Amsterdam and after her masters she worked for various symphony orchestras, in pr and publicity, organising events and concerts.
After her job as agent for the Netherlands Concert Choir she retrained as a Quantum Touch practitioner.

Six years ago she moved to Dorset where she set up

Veronique Sodano
born in Rome, grew up in the Netherlands, half Dutch half Italian.
She finished her studies as a Jazz singer at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague with distinction.
Together with her husband David Lucas (saxophonist and composer) she writes and performs music combining jazz, pop, samba and rock sometimes with storytelling lyrics, sometimes with poetic lyrics.
She is conductor of a choir, the Sodanos, and does all kinds of weird and wonderful stuff in music. Besides that, she’s a lovely warm and fun personality.
